Meet Megan
"Stay humble. Work hard. Be kind."
Fitness has always been a huge part of Meg S’s life. From playing sports through college to her current career as a physical therapist, she believes that there is nothing more important than taking care of your body and mind. She initially came to Rêve in pursuit of a workout, but ended up finding so much more among the amazing community. She cultivates her classes as a time where her riders can clip in and disconnect from the chaos of everyday life. You can expect a high energy playlist, drawing from her eclectic list of favorites, everything from today’s hits, country, EDM, and hip hop! When she’s not at the studio, Meg is hanging with her husband Anthony, their son Dominic, and golden retriever Kevin. She loves spending time at Sebago Lake with her family.
Meet Sarah
"Take no moment for granted."
Sarah walked in the door of Rêve Cycling Studio in 2015 and never looked back! After a year of riding, she began training to become an instructor. It was a natural transition as fitness is and always has been a part of her daily routine, initially growing up as an athlete in Freeport, Maine and then continuing to find balance from movement into her adult life. When Sarah isn’t spinning, she enjoys spending her time hiking, paddling and skiing. She currently lives in Portland and works for L.L.Bean in Product Development. Her playlists are mostly Pop and EDM, but you can often find some Hip Hop and Rock sprinkled in as she loves a wide range of artists, from Beyoncé to the Foo Fighters.
Meet Lauren
"Step into each day with compassion, patience, and respect for your own unique journey."
As a lifetime athlete, Lauren discovered indoor cycling as a way to continue moving after her collegiate track and field career came to an end. She fell in love with the way that spin combines movement with music, while also helping maintain endurance and strength. In 2020 she walked into Rêve for the first time, and instantly fell in love with the community. Riding at Rêve feels like being at home. Outside of the studio you can catch her close to the beach, drinking all the coffee, and spending time with her handsome golden retriever named Winston.
Meet Leah
“Follow your dreams. They know the way.”
Leah Hitchcock is a lifelong athlete. Her very favorite thing to do is dance to a loud and bumpin’ beat, and, when she walked into Rêve she found the chance to do that--even on a week night! She first came to Rêve a bit over a year ago, and immediately found a place that blocked out any negativity from the world beyond the studio and simply fostered “the good stuff.” She is obsessed with music, and is excited to curate playlists that keep people moving and inspire them to have fun. Her deepest music obsession is the mash up, as she love the marrying/re-imagining of two things you may not have expected together. After her first class, she was hooked, and would imagine how she might spin to each song that she listened to. Outside of the studio, Leah works in the Underwriting department at MEMIC, waitresses each weekend, and loves to eat her way through Portland.
Meet Amber
Instructor & Lead Mat Instructor
"Give light and people will find the way.”
A friend introduced Amber to Rêve during a time in which she was looking for a place to get a good workout. When she walked through the doors of the studio, she found so much more. Amber works as a Probation Officer for the state of Maine; Reve quickly became a place she could disengage from work and life, and focus on taking care of herself. After riding for a little while, she knew she had to become a part of this team in a bigger way. Her passion for health, fitness, music, and empowering others drove her to want to take it to the next level as an instructor. Outside of Rêve, Amber likes to spend time outdoors, with family, friends, and her dog.
Meet Amanda
“I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness – it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.”
After overcoming her fear of fitness classes and falling in love with indoor cycling in Chicago three years ago, Amanda immediately sought a place to continue this exercise when she moved to Maine for graduate school in 2017. Amanda has since graduated and is now a School Counselor at an Elementary School! Her love for indoor cycling developed into a full-fledged passion when she found Rêve, which became a place of familiarity and comfort in her new home of Portland. Amanda grew up with gym teachers who told her she would never be an athlete based on her lack of both hand-eye coordination and competitiveness, so she shied away from any form of fitness until her late twenties when she moved back to the Midwest (and living in many other states including: Michigan, Connecticut, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota) from New York City. Discovering the power of endorphins has been life-changing! Rêve’s diverse and encouraging instructors increased Amanda’s enthusiasm for spinning by making sure she felt welcomed and supported. Her love of riding and music led Amanda to become an instructor; pulling from her background of performing professionally as an actor and singer. Amanda now looks forward to leading riders on a 50-minute journey with fresh and energetic beats, uplifting and supportive messages, and giving riders permission to take up space and own their unique fitness stories.
Meet Marissa
“Laughter is the same in every language.”
A Maine native, Marissa was introduced to Rêve by her best friend, Ellie, and was hooked ever since. From the welcoming environment to the constant positive reinforcement from the instructors, she kept coming back knowing that one day she would love to be an instructor. Marissa encourages riders to tap into their potential through her fire playlists, joy, and happiness that she brings to the podium. Outside of Rêve, Marissa works as a Project Manager for a Software Company and enjoys spending time with her Fiancé and family. She loves to read, runs a book club (!), and enjoys outdoor activities like golf and hiking. In the summer, you can find her by the lake and in the winter, she’s on the slopes skiing!
Meet Rachael
"Loving yourself is the greatest revolution."
One fateful morning in 2014, Rachael's mother dragged her to an early bird ride at Rêve. Somewhere between weights, and that final push to the finish, she fell in love. Back in the Big Apple, Rachael worked as a performer, finding herself in Manhattan's most prominent theaters, and touring with Grammy Winners as a backup singer. Between gigs, she became a spinning instructor, training under some of the industry's best. Back in the 207, Rachael brings her knowledge of music and cycling to the podium, and will never pass up the opportunity to teach a theme, and wear a costume to class. When she's not at the studio, you can find Rachael in her first-grade classroom, running a race, and perfecting her peanut butter cookie recipe.
Meet Joseph
Instructor & Marketing and Social Media Intern
"A daily hit of athletic-induced endorphins gives you the power to make better decisions, helps you to be at peace with yourself, and offsets stress."
Joseph found cycling as an escape when he walked in the studio doors at the beginning of his Sophomore year of high school. Through the years at Rêve, he has built strong relationships with fellow riders and instructors while training to become a stronger rider. He takes his experience from teaching yoga and applies it to his cycling class for an upbeat, balanced ride. Off the bike, Joseph continues his education, spends time with his family, and is seen on a tennis court occasionally.
Meet Molly
“Anything you do to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone will ultimately enable you to take larger risks and grow.”
Molly first found Rêve during the pandemic when she was looking for activities to do outside (we were out at Thompson’s Point!) and even convinced her husband it would be a great date and dragged him along, too! During the few years of the pandemic, no matter the space (Thompson’s Point, Halo, Brick South), Rêve created the energy that made Molly feel like she belonged and motivated her to step out of her comfort zone. At around 100 rides, she knew she wanted to be an instructor. Molly is from a small town in New Hampshire and then went on to spread her proverbial wings and lived in Boston to study music and education before moving to Portland. Outside of Rêve, Molly loves getting out of the city and spending time in the woods, making trips to see family in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. “Nothing beats a long drive down a dirt road with a good playlist,” said Molly. “I spend much of my Portland time riding my moped to the farmers market, finding local music, running the trails, and asking friends to walk on the beach with me.”
Meet Redyn
"“It won't always be easy, but it will ALWAYS be worth it.”
A rider since 2018, Redyn loves stepping into the studio, disconnecting from the outside world and spending an hour connecting with herself surrounded by a community of people who are truly the best support system. When the opportunity arose to ride on the other side of the podium, she was excited to take her love for spin, athletics (she was a college hockey player!) and music to the podium. Redyn creates playlists full of absolute jams and leads a fun and powerful ride. Originally from Plainfield, Massachusetts, Redyn grew up in an awesome historic house built in 1790 that her mom still lives in today! Outside of Rêve, Redyn loves to fish with her husband, and dreams of being a professional jet setter and traveling the world.
Meet Tennyson
"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
Prior to walking into Rêve, spin classes were just a way to get a workout in. After trying a couple classes, Tennyson knew this studio was a place to call home. Rêve always felt so inviting, warm, buzzing with positive energy and the instructors always provided "more" than just a sweat session. You could tell that authenticity, care and thoughtful inspiration was the backbone to each playlist and ride. Tennyson is passionate about helping riders explore the outer boundaries of their strength and potential during class. Outside of Rêve you can find Tennyson riding his mountain bike in the summer and fat bike in the winter.
Meet Nicola
“Spread love everywhere you go, let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.“
Nicola found Yoga Sculpt when recovering from a back injury in college determined to come back stronger for her diving season, and immediately fell in love. In her classes, she discovered her happy place: an upbeat, high energy, calorie burning class that had all the core beliefs of yoga; 60 minutes to focus on you and only you, surrounded by positive people that build you up. Inspired by this, she completed the rigorous training program at CorePower Yoga in 2018—and hasn’t looked back since! Nicola attributes Rêve as the place she gets to come to, let go, and reset. Outside of the studio, Nicola works in commercial real estate, primarily leasing with a specialty in Retail. One of the most notable projects she works on in Maine is Rock Row! She can be found exploring all around Maine—hiking, skiing, and walking around Mackworth Island with her maltipoo, Shea, and her husband, Nick.
Meet Chelsea
Mat Instructor
“Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.“
Chelsea brings her eclectic music taste, knowledge, and skills to Rêve and teaches one epic Yoga Sculpt class that will leave you feeling inspired and heart-centered. Originally from Sandwich, Massachusetts, Chelsea found herself visiting Portland, ME in 2017 and made the official jump to Portland in 2020! Outside of Rêve, you can find Chelsea adventuring around Maine and beyond. A huge music person, you will often find her at The State Theatre and Thompson's Point, or chasing her favorite bands elsewhere. She also loves to camp, hike, ski, travel, and of course, eat and drink her way around Portland! Chelsea’s class is a combination of calm elements that she gets from hiking in the mountains mixed with a sense of community that she brings with her as part of her own search for connection after moving to Portland, ME in 2020.
Meet Brooke
Mat Instructor
“Follow your heart and nothing else.“
After being introduced to Rêve in 2021, Brooke took a liking to the energy and sequences built in our Yoga Sculpt classes and soon found herself coming multiple times a week! Brooke is a USM undergraduate student studying Sociology & Anthropology at USM with a focus in Women's Rights and Education in addition to nannying. Outside of Rêve, Brooke enjoys going to the gym, exploring the food scene that Portland has to offer, painting, collaging, hiking, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends as well as spending time with her cat, Brodie. Brooke’s classes have an athletic element to them that will leave you feeling strong, motivated, and maybe a little sore. She has a passion for playlist making and is really excited to curate fun and energetic playlists with a range of different genres to get everyone pumped up and engaged!
Meet Lily
"“Intention + Action = Magic”"
Originally from New England, Lily was introduced to Power Yoga while living in Colorado. Soon she was a daily practitioner, and began to see that physical challenge and discipline on the mat paved the way for mental clarity and healing. In 2014 she completed her 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher Training and started to teach both power yoga and “yoga sculpt” classes. Sculpt has a particular place in Lily's heart because of the healthy sweat and self-confidence she finds from the combination of yoga and strength training. The infectious energy of a sculpt class is one of her favorite ways to start the day, and she finds teaching yoga flow classes to be grounding and empowering. Having lived in Portland once before, she recently moved back and immediately felt back at home- especially at Rêve! Lily is thrilled to be exploring Maine once again with her partner & golden retriever, Gus.
Meet Caylin
Mat Instructor
“Find softness within the strength.“
Caylin brings her high-energy, gentle and quick yoga flows to Rêve! In Caylin’s class, you can expect a fun and well-balanced Power Yoga Flow with a mixture of traditional sun salutations and a sequence that will build through the duration of 50-minutes. Caylin encourages her students to add additional moments of breath and movement throughout their practice along with incorporating core work and strengthening to provide a well-balanced flow that will leave you feeling strong and centered. When she’s not teaching yoga, Caylin can be found taking pottery classes, dancing at concerts, and working full-time in the brewery industry as a Marketing Manager!
Meet Meghan
Lead Instructor, Senior Instructor & Development Manager, Senior Manager of Digital Communications
"Speak kindly to yourself, speak kindly to others."
A New England native, Meghan loves the outdoors, traveling, sweating, drinking coffee, and connecting with friends and family. In 2015, Meghan found the beautiful space she calls her second home, Rêve Cycling Studio. Since then, she has gone on to live in multiple different cities, diversifying her life experiences and knowledge. Now she's back, re-grounding herself in Maine, and bringing her eclectic taste in music to each of her classes. Plus, she’s more ready than ever to eat all the Tandem Cinnamon Rolls.
Meet Tiffany
Director of Operations
“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
Tiffany found the magic that is Rêve long before it became her full time job. She attended her first spin class in May 2013, when Rêve first opened its doors. Tiffany moved to Portland from New York City and found community and genuine connections at Rêve that kept her coming back. She credits her time on the bike with helping her carve out some critical time for herself. At Rêve, she keeps the studio running as smoothly as possible on a daily basis. Outside of the studio she enjoys all Maine has to offer with her active family.
