1. When did you start riding at Rêve and what kept you coming back?

I started riding at Rêve in the winter of 2013 and after one class, I was absolutely hooked. Not only is Rêve a killer workout, but I feel this unbelievable energy and sense of belonging from the studio, the riders and the instructors. The Rêve community inspires me everyday!

2. Why did you decide to pursue instructing?

After realizing the power of riding at Rêve and trying to put into words what it has meant to my life, I decided to pursue instructing in hopes of showing other athletes an endorphin-filled Rêve class. When exploring the possibility of teaching, I also found that one of my favorite Rêve mantras, "no challenge, no change", held true. I was inspired to pursue my love of cycling even further by challenging myself to begin instructing classes. And I am beyond excited to teach my first one!

3. What’s one of your favorite parts of class?

Nothing compares to the last song. You can feel the incredible energy in the room as you power through the last sprint. It is a culmination of so much hard work and mental toughness that gives way to a moment of tranquility right before the stretch. That is the moment you work for.

4. Tell us about your music. What are some of your favorite artists/songs?

I grew up surrounded by music (literally, my dad has an entire room in our home dedicated - floor to ceiling - to his album collection). So, whether it was enjoying Springsteen concerts with my mom or being educated (lectured) on the musicians from my dad's favorite record labels, music has always been a part of my life. I like to think it has resulted in my rather eclectic taste. I enjoy anything from Van Morrison to Britney, from U2 to Florida Georgia Line. And honestly, nothing compares to some early 2000s pop!

5. Anything else you’d like the Rêve community to know about you?

When not cycling at Rêve, I love working in my lab, enjoying Maine's beaches and post-beach ice cream, spending time with my family and friends and most of all, walking my dog, Duke. And no matter the weather, you can almost always find me with an iced coffee in my hand!
