Instructor Spotlight: Skyler

Meet Skyler -- a corporate professional by day and a high-energy cycling instructor by night who will be teaching our 6:30 pm class on Tuesday nights. She guarantees a sweaty, strength-building and smile-inspiring ride so come check her out, you'll be hooked! Skyler

In ten words or less, why did you become an instructor?

To share my passion for pushing our limits.

Where can we find you when you're not on the bike?

On the trails, road, open water, or even horseback. Whatever gets me outside and exploring is my idea of a good place to be. If the day calls for a bit more rest and relaxation, Ohmi’s Coffee Shop on Brackett Street is my not-so-secret hideout. What is not to like about cushioned window seats and yummy beverages?

What's your favorite part of class?

When you feel the class begin to ride together. Often times you will see every rider’s rhythm sync and you can see the energy increase as everyone builds off each other. It's a moment that is hard to explain but one in which I think the class shows its true strength, power, and ability to define its potential. For me, it is the beautiful moment where individual and group efforts align to enhance the ride to the next level.

What's one of your favorite songs to play in class these days?

It’s a very hard decision but it would have to be either Avicii’s ‘You Make Me’ or Coldplay’s ‘Sky Full of Stars’.
