Rêve it Up: For the Love of Summer!

The beauty of Rêve is that our indoor cycling and mat classes focus on cardiovascular endurance and strength training, creating the perfect environment to help prepare you for the amazing Maine summer activities. The warmer weather and longer days are here and that means that we get to take advantage of gathering with family and friends for some fun on the beach or taking to the roads solo for a long ride or jog — there is a little something for everyone right here in our backyard! If you're training for an upcoming race, or just want to spend more time outside, using Rêve as a cross training tool for your summer activities could help enhance the quality of your performance and everyday life. And — our team of instructors and community are always here to cheer you on!

The extra daylight hours during the summer months create the perfect opportunity to  train for endurance sports such as running, cycling or swimming. The indoor cycling classes here at Rêve can be a great way to build up some of that cardiovascular endurance that will help you add miles and drop time if you’re training for distance. Our indoor cycling classes are also low-impact and easier on the joints. To avoid injury or burnout, keeping a spin class on your schedule a few times a week is a great way to keep the cardiovascular training up without overstraining your joints and risking an injury.

At Rêve, we also offer mat classes that provide a balance of strength training and stretching; the perfect complement for those who spend a lot of time on the spin bike or getting active outside of the studio! Our Yoga Sculpt and Strength & Sweat classes will help to strengthen the muscle groups that aid in your other activities. Each class is a full body workout offering upper body exercises, core strengthening, and targeted lower body work. Our mat instructors all have a background in yoga and incorporate time for poses that specifically target areas that are tight for riders such as low back, hips, quads, and shoulders.

When using Rêve to help  train for outdoor activities or an upcoming race, you might find that you are not alone! Many of the instructors on our team are athletes outside of the studio, too. From runners, triathletes, college and high school athletes, to hikers, and boaters — our team really does it all! At Rêve, we create an environment that will motivate and inspire you to help keep you feeling strong within your summer activities all season long. Using Rêve as a cross training tool will help enhance the quality of your performance and everyday life. We can’t wait to cheer you on!
